Background: I skedaddled out of bed at about 3:00 am in order to catch the sunrise at Joffre Lakes Provincial Park. A slight detour delayed me, but when I arrived, I was the only person there. This view can be seen by walking about 200 yards – which is an absolute steal in terms of beauty to effort ratio. This photo was taken on my way down from the upper lake at about 10 am. If you’re in the Whistler area, it’s a must-see spot.
