These are the 10 things I’d buy for fall camping if I were just starting

Camping is one of my favorite activities. It allows you to get outside, connect with nature, and disconnect from the real world. Plus, it almost always puts you in a stunning place where you can see the stars, smell the trees, or hear running water.

But to camp effectively and safely, you need the right gear. Here’s what I’d get if I were starting out. (Also, be kind; I don’t have photos of each piece of gear.)

This is the perfect tent camp size. Why? Because you can put the queen mattress below in it! It also allows you plenty of space to carry bags and move around.

While camping is great for getting off the grid, sometimes you need to be connected. Or, maybe you’re camping but also working remotely. If so, having a power station to charge your gear is crucial.

Most of you won’t be camping in freezing temperatures, so a 35-degree bag is perfect for warmer summer months and maybe shoulder season camping, too.
