America’s hardest hike? Photos from hiking Rim to Rim of the Grand Canyon

Hiking Rim to Rim of the Grand Canyon in one day is one of the hardest endeavors I’ve ever done. (Mt. Whitney is up there too.) At 24 miles and 5,000+ feet of gain (all at the end) is brutal on tired legs and minds.

But the views, getting a chance to experience places few venture is outstanding. Here are some shots from inside the Grand Canyon.
